ZUZU PETALS & BECKETT

ZuZu is a German Shepherd who will be 7 on December 18th, 2011. She was a rescue from German Shepherd Rescue of NE. A breeder brought a GSD from Germany for breeding only to find that she was pregnant already on arrival. He gave all the pups to GSR because he couldn't provide papers thereby getting good money for them.

Having passed the rigorous adopting process by GSR I was offered "Annie' as she was known then and had to drive all the way up to northern New Hampshire to get her from Southern Connecticut, quite the ride and on the way back, my new pup was so good.

It took just a short time to figure out what her new name would be being almost a Christmas baby; ZuZu Petals from It's a Wonderful Life!

ZuZu is currently being a great adoptive Mom to our new pup Beckett, a long-hair GSD rescue who was purchased by a family in Darien from a breeder in South Dakota only to find that he had a heart murmur, so he was given up to Tails of Courage, a rescue group in Westport, CT.

My vet learned of his fate and called me, I drove there immediately and Beckett came home with us! He turned 1 on November 11.
